When is it enough? Your pupils constrict as your blood pressure spikes
Does it make your grit your teeth?
When is it enough? Your muscles constrict around your chest
Can you breathe?
When is it enough? Your snot trickles down your face your tears wet your sheets
Are you not done?
When is it enough? Your mind is like an electrical force that can’t be tamed.
Is this still fun?
When is it enough? Your stomachs in knots patiently waiting to expel its contents
How does it taste?
When is it enough? Your eyes vibrate in their sockets sending anxiety to shred your intestines.
Can you see that your time is a waste?
When is it enough? Doctors send you away.
Can you see they’ve given up?
When is it enough? You crave the embrace of death yet you fear it.
Can you see your mind is full of hubbub?
When is it enough? Finally healthy and yet still craving it.
Can you see you’re sick yet? Hello? Come back to me. Can you see it’s finally enough?
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
